Welcome to Mount Pleasant Winery

Mount Pleasant Winery was established in 1859, and is located in the heart of the Augusta Appellation wine district, the first in the United States, founded in 1980. Napa Valley was the second in 1983.
We have more than 85 acres of grapevines producing on our land, where we grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay, and have been since the late ’80s. Our goal is to reach the hundred-acre plateau.
Our wine has literally spanned the globe. It’s been served in Europe, Asia, South America, Oceania and right here in Augusta. Tipper Gore, wife of the inventor of the Internet, mentions our Les Copains Chardonnay as a personal favorite. And she’s not alone. Our wines continue to win numerous national and international awards. In fact, we’re quite proud of not just our reds and whites, but also our golds and silvers. And we think you’ll enjoy them too.
Guarantee a seat for your group in our reserve area for $5.00 per person. Reserved seating reservations are non-refundable. No exceptions. Our staff will assist with your wine purchases and, for your convenience, we offer small and large picnic party tray food options (see the menu page). For reserved seating and to order our PARTY TRAYS - call Laura at 636.482.9463 ext. 221, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.

RECYCLE AND SAVE!
Introducing our new bottle recycling program!
At Mount Pleasant we’re dedicated to our planet. We are a viticultrally sustainable business. These practices maintain economical viability, are socially supportive and are ecologically sound.
In continuation of those efforts we’re excited to introduce our new bottle recycling program – bring in an empty bottle from any winery and receive 10% off your take-home purchase.
Feel free to bring in as many bottles as you'd like. The discount limit is 10% per customer, but we're dedicated to this cause and happy to recycle whatever you bring.

MOUNT PLEASANT CELEBRATES 150TH WITH MORE CUSTOMER OFFERINGS
Introducing A New Grill Menu and Free Band Day Admission for 2009
From an expanded cafe to free live music, we're celebrating our
150th Anniversary with exciting new offerings for our Augusta winery guests.
“We want to give our customers the full Mount Pleasant experience when they visit our Augusta location,” said Chuck Dressel, winery President. “We are a fabulous place to enjoy award-winning wines, stunning views and now a variety of delicious meals from our grill. We are pleased to announce that this year we are also waiving the $5 admission fee for our band days.”
Mount Pleasant now joins the ranks of many other Missouri wineries that do not permit outside food and beverages on their property. With an extensive new menu available to them, our guests won’t have to worry about packing their own food. They can simply relax and enjoy the day.
The full grill menu will feature a variety of hot sandwiches and side dishes as well as a delicious array of salads and desserts on our terrace. Look for our full menu online soon!
In addition to the expanded grill menu, we are also waiving the $5 admission fee for band days. Guests can enjoy top-notch bands every weekend from April 18th through November 14th for free! Some of the popular bands to grace the Mount Pleasant stage include the Well Hungarians, the Soulard Blues Band, Ticket to the Beatles, Javier Mendoza and the Ralph Butler Band. Click

“Our goal is to be the ideal escape for people who truly enjoy the culture of wine,” said Dressel.
